I love Boston Tea Party on Kingsmead Square – it’s the perfect place to watch the world go by! Not only do they source all their coffee locally, the food is fresh and there’s loads to choose from.
My go-to brunch at BTP is Sourdough Eggy Bread with Smoked Bacon & Avocado. Like everyone else at the moment I’ve totally jumped on the avocado bandwagon – having it in everything from smoothies to Ella’s courgette noodles with avocado sauce.
Anyway BTP’s classic was extremely moreish – the creaminess of the avocado perfectly balanced with the saltiness of the bacon. To me this is one of the most perfect combos! I’ve also been tempted by the sweetcorn hash – every time I walk past there is a massive picture of it outside and I know that’s next on the list!
Of course I washed it down with a nice strong black americano – made with hand roasted coffee beans from Extract Coffee Roasters in Bristol.
